Diani Beach

Diani is the postcard of Kenya's south coast — a long run of white sand and warm, reef-protected water an hour south of Mombasa. It is where most of our safaris exhale: after the dust of the parks, a few days of dhow sailing, snorkelling the Kisite reef, and nothing on the schedule before mid-morning.

Beyond the beach there is the Shimba Hills for a last taste of forest and elephant, and the Swahili towns of the coast for food and history. Diani works as a standalone beach week or as the coastal half of a bush-and-ocean trip.
