Start planning
What one of our itineraries actually looks like.
Day 1
Nairobi
Met at JKIA and driven to Giraffe Manor or Hemingways. Afternoon at the Sheldrick elephant orphanage, dinner with your guide to go through the route.
Days 2 – 4
Maasai Mara — Naboisho Conservancy
Light aircraft from Wilson. Three nights in a conservancy camp: dawn drives, a night drive, a walk with a Maasai guide, and the river crossings in season.
Day 5
Balloon at dawn
Lift off at 6am over the Talek, breakfast on the plain where you land, afternoon free in camp.
Days 6 – 7
Amboseli — under Kilimanjaro
The big tusker herds against the mountain, best at first light. Guided birding on the swamps and a visit to a Maasai group ranch.
Days 8 – 10
Diani Beach — the reef
Fly to Ukunda. Three nights on the south coast: dhow at sunset, snorkelling at Kisite, and a farewell dinner at Ali Barbour’s cave.
What our guests say
The moment our balloon lifted off over the Mara, I understood why people say Kenya changes them. Romino Safaris thought of things we never would have — including a private bush dinner under the stars that I'll never forget.
Sarah Hoffmann · Mara and Amboseli, October 2024
Our guide Joseph grew up two valleys from Naboisho. He read the country like a page — we saw a leopard kill on the second morning because he knew where she had left the cubs.
Marcus & Jana Klein · Classic Circuit, March 2025
Travelling solo can feel lonely. They gave me a private vehicle but put me at the communal table in camp, which was exactly right. Diani afterwards was the perfect landing.
Amara Patel · Bush and Ocean, January 2025
